Take a few minutes to learn about Cambridge Publications' management team.
Michael Krigsman, President and CEO
Michael Krigsman is co-founder, president, and CEO of Cambridge Publications. He performs several key roles:
- Maintaining relationships with key customers and strategic partners
- Overseeing development of new services
- Serving as chief customer advocate
Prior to founding Cambridge Publications in 1990, Michael was director of training for Digicom, Inc., a value-added reseller of networking software and equipment. Michael has overseen projects undertaken on behalf of many CPI customers, such as SAP, Lotus, Microsoft, Polaroid,and others. He was a driving force behind the development of the AcceleratedSAP set of software implementation tools, which changed the way the ERP industry implements its products.
Michael has served as executive committee member for the American Electronics Association in New England. He is currently a member of the board of trustees of the Herreshoff Marine Museum and the America's Cup Hall of Fame in Bristol, Rhode Island. Michael has written numerous articles on topics related to Cambridge Publications' business interests.
Michael received a B.A. degree from Bard College and an M.B.A. from Boston University.
Lisbeth Shaw, Vice President of Project Management
Lisbeth Shaw is co-founder of Cambridge Publications and vice president of project management. Her key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all project management
- Managing projects for large customers
- Human resources activities
Prior to founding Cambridge Publications, Lisbeth worked as an electronics engineer developing various types of instrumentation. She has worked in engineering for Teledyne Corp., Millipore Corp., and Raytheon.
Lisbeth brings a systems engineering perspective to the management of projects for Cambridge Publications' customers. Her engineering approach enables CPI to produce large, complex projects on a fixed-price and within the confines of tight schedules.
Lisbeth received a B.S. degree in systems engineering from the University of Rochester. In addition, she has taken courses in business management and economics from Harvard Extension School.
Duane Harris, Vice President of Operations
Duane Harris is vice president of strategic operations. Duane's role includes managing operations for the documentation, training, and production departments.
Prior to joining Cambridge Publications, Duane was president and chief operating officer of ScreamDesign, Inc., a web development and online training firm, and president of Turbine Media, Inc. a new media and web development firm. His management background includes a wide spectrum of positions in sales, marketing, project management, and corporate operations.
Duane's diverse and robust managerial background supports Cambridge Publications' work with customers representing a wide spectrum of vertical markets, including IT, software development, retail, medical, and general business-to-business segments.
Duane received a B.A. degree from Harvard University, and a J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law.
Barbara Kivowitz, Principal Consultant
Barbara Kivowitz works as a Principal Consultant on Cambridge Publications business process playbook and methodology engagements.
A veteran organizational development specialist and recognized knowledge management expert, Barbara Kivowitz was a senior leader at Lotus Institute. Her consulting clients have included IBM, Novartis, Genzyme, General Motors, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Allan Demers, Principal Consultant
Allan Demers works as a Principal Consultant on Cambridge Publications business process playbook and methodology engagements.
Allan has worked in the IT industry for 30 years, specializing in implementation and project management methodologies for deploying large-scale information systems and applications. He has extensive project experience that was acquired while holding senior level positions at SAP America, Wang Labs, Digital Equipment Corp., and Centronics.
Allan served as the original team leader and process architect for the Accelerated SAP methodology set of enterprise software implementation tools. He holds an MBA degree from New Hampshire College.
