Iprax: Online Training with Video

Cambridge Publications created a video help system for Iprax, a developer of computer-based training software used in industrial situations. The audience consisted of factory workers using a touch screen. Users tap on the user interface element they want to learn about—a close button or choice box, for example—and a video describes how to use the relevant software features. We also created a second, lower-bandwidth version of the interactive help system, which did not include the video component. This highly interactive form of training was particularly well suited to the goal of teaching people how to use software features accessed through the user interface.
