Documentation and Training Services
Cambridge Publications offers documentation and training services on a managed basis in three areas:
Managed, Full-Service Outsourcing
Cambridge Publications is not a contract or temporary placement agency. Instead, we are documentation and training experts, often working on a fixed-price, fixed deliverables basis. This requires a deep understanding of the process, senior level resources, and world-class project management skills.
Whether you need one manual, a complete suite of documentation, or training materials, Cambridge Publications can help. Our services cover a full range of customized technical and business process documentation.
We take a solutions approach, creating knowledge resources that include users' guides, reference manuals, help systems, and other supporting materials. In each case, the work we do responds to your particular needs and is carried out in partnership with you.
We work on an outsourcing basis. If you have an in-house documentation group, we can become a virtual extension of it, supporting your documentation people at crunch times or taking on specific assignments to ward off a crunch. If you don't have a resident documentation group, we can fill that role, providing you with all of the services you would hope to get from a fully staffed documentation unit.
How we work
We start with a methodology. We assess your needs, analyze your audience, identify requirements and constraints, define interim milestones, and incorporate internal and client reviews for each milestone.
We assign a team of professionals: writer, editor, software developer, production specialist, and (where appropriate) a subject matter expert, according to your project's requirements. An experienced project manager oversees the project, ensuring that schedules are rigorous, realistic, and adhered to; that problems are noted and resolved early; and that resources work synergistically.
We manage your project from beginning to end, working in partnership with you. We coordinate all phases of the project to ensure that you obtain the best work possible on time and within budget.
